Upper Southampton Municipal Authority to Close Bristol Road for Utility Construction in Lower Southampton Township

King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that Upper Southampton Municipal Authority will perform utility construction on Bristol Road in Lower Southampton Township, Bucks County, beginning on Monday, September 14.
Drivers are advised of the following travel restriction:
Monday, September 14, through Friday, September 18, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Bristol Road will be closed and detoured between Buck Road and Bustleton Pike. During the closure, drivers will be directed to use Buck Road, Bridgetown Pike, and Bustleton Pike.
Local access will be maintained. Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area or through the detour route because backups and delays may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Upper Southampton Municipal Authority will complete this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
Travelers can check conditions on major roads by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,200 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts.

Upper Southampton Municipal Authority Utility Improvements to Close Maple Avenue in Bucks County
King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that Upper Southampton Municipal Authority will be performing utility improvements on Maple Avenue in Bucks County, beginning on Monday, July 27.
Drivers are advised of the following travel restriction:
- Monday, July 27, through Monday, October 19, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Maple Avenue will be closed and detoured weekdays between Route 132 (Street Road) and Route 232 (Second Street Pike). During the closure, drivers will be directed to use Route 132 (Street Road) and Route 232 (Second Street Pike).

International Property Maintenance Code Board of Appeals - (two vacancies) - Those interested please submit a Letter of Interest, complete with name, address, phone number, email and any other documents to support the Board of Supervisors in making a decision.
Uniform Construction Code Board of Appeals - (two vacancies) - Hears appeals on matters concerning the Uniform Construction Code.
Zoning Permit Requirements
Effective immediately, 5/16/25
All zoning permit applications are not to be accepted for submission unless they are filled out in their entirely. Incomplete zoning permit applications shall not be accepted and reviewed.
Additionally, a plan prepared by a licensed Engineer or Land Surveyor that shows existing improvements, proposed improvements as well as all calculations showing compliance with all dimensional and performance zoning requirements shall be required with each submission.
