During this holiday season, please remember these important reminders regarding use of fireworks:
- Fireworks cannot be discharged within 150 feet of any structure, regardless of whether a person is inside.
- Discharging fireworks is prohibited on all public property, including streets, parks, schools and open spaces.
- Fireworks cannot be discharged within or toward a motor vehicle or building, or directed toward another person, or by anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
- Fireworks cannot be discharged on private property without express permission of the property owner.
- Consumer fireworks can only by purchased, possessed or used by a person 18 years of age or older.
